Financial Aid

Financial Aid Process
Step I

Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
To apply for any financial aid, all students must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as FAFSA.

If you have filed in earlier years a FAFSA and you have your PIN which is supplied by the Department of Education, you can go to www.fafsa.ed.gov (or click the FAFSA button on the right or below) and fill out the Renewal FAFSA.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

If you do not have a PIN, you can visit the same website and register for a pin. As soon as you receive it, you may go then to the website and apply for a Renewal FAFSA, (if you have done so in earlier years) or Fill out a FAFSA, (if it is the first time you apply for financial aid).

Notes:

  • Make sure you read every question carefully.
  • Parental information is not required because all students are considered independent students in a graduate school. Your parent information is needed on the FAFSA only if you want to be considered for funds from the Department of Health and Human Services: Health Professions Student Loan (HPSL), Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS).
  • The school code you must enter is 003938. This is very important if you want our school to receive your financial aid documents.
  • You will need your 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, 1040 Telefile, PR Tax forms, W-2 or any other income related documents to fill out the FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA.
  • You will receive a Student Aid Report in response to the information submitted. If there is any error in this document, you can enter the same website and enter in the Make Corrections to a Processed FAFSA section. After the corrections are done, you will receive another Student Aid Report.
Our school will receive an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) in a few days after you have completed your FAFSA of Renewal FAFSA online. With this document, we will begin the students’financial aid processing.

Step II

Filling out the Entrance Interview

All students must complete an entrance interview. This interview gives the student information regarding types of loans, repayment options, delinquency and default, types of deferment, and other related information. You must enter this website, read all the information, and answer the questions included. To complete this requirement, click this button:

The financial aid office will receive a confirmation of your interview.

Step III

Filling out the Award Letter

When students have completed their FAFSA, entrance interview, and have already been registered, they must accept the Financial Aid Award letter. This letter contains all awards to be given to a student during any academic year. You must enter the WebInter site to do so. Follow the instructions below:

  • Enter your social security number
  • Enter your BannerWeb pin (this number is related to your date of birth (MMDDYY).
  • This will take you to a Login Verification Security Question and Answer. You will provide a question and an answer to it, in case you loose or misplace your password.
  • After you submit it, go to the Student Services & Financial Aid section
  • Go to the Financial Aid Section
  • Go to My Award Information
  • Click on Accept Offer by Aid Year
  • Choose de Aid Year in reference

Step IV
