Step I
Filling out the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA)
To apply for any financial aid, all students must fill out
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known
as FAFSA.
If you have filed in earlier years a FAFSA and you have
your PIN which is supplied by the Department of Education,
you
can go to www.fafsa.ed.gov (or
click the FAFSA button on the right or below) and fill
out the Renewal FAFSA.
If you do not have a PIN, you can visit the same website and
register for a pin. As soon as you receive it, you may go
then to the website and apply for a Renewal FAFSA, (if you
have done so in earlier years) or Fill out a
FAFSA, (if it is the first time you apply for financial aid).
Notes:
- Make sure you read every question carefully.
- Parental information is not required because all students
are considered independent students in a graduate school.
Your parent information is needed on the FAFSA only if
you want to be considered for funds from the Department
of Health and Human Services: Health Professions Student
Loan (HPSL), Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS).
- The school code you must enter
is 003938. This is very important if
you want our school to receive your financial aid documents.
- You will need your 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, 1040 Telefile,
PR Tax forms, W-2 or any other income related documents

- You will receive a Student Aid Report in response to
the information submitted. If there is any error in this
document, you can enter the same website and enter in the
Make Corrections to a Processed FAFSA section. After the
corrections are done, you will receive another Student
Aid Report.
Our school will receive an Institutional Student Information
Record (ISIR) in a few days after you have completed your FAFSA
of Renewal FAFSA online. With this document, we will begin
the students’financial aid processing.
Step II
