Laptop Lending Program
The CAI lends laptop computers to all School of Optometry students.
Policy
- Students may reserve a laptop computer by filling out the form bellow.
- It can circulate for four (4) hours at a time, with one (1) renewal possible, and up to eight (8) hours per day.
- It must be return at the end of the pickup day at the information desk counter. If the student needs more time, CIT has laptops that can be borrowed for more days.
- Failure to return the laptop computer at the appointed time will result in an overdue fine of $0.50, per hour or a fraction of an hour. And failure to return it the same pickup date may result in disciplinary action and the inability to borrow laptop computers in the future.
- We emphasize the importance of saving ALL documents to a cloud, external drive, or other device. Neither the CAI nor the IAUPR- School of Optometry are responsible for any document left on the internal drive of the laptop computer.
- If technical problems are encountered, the laptop computer should be returned immediately to the CAI.
- All equipment borrowed (consisting of laptop computer, charging cable, and laptop bag/case) are the borrower’s responsibility until they are returned to the CAI.
- ANY abuse of laptop loan privileges, may result in disciplinary action and the inability to borrow laptop computers in the future.
- Student must sign the USE AND LIABILITY AGREEMENT bellow.
