Service Continuity
The CAI is open for service to School of Optometry students and staff during opening hours, with the following limitations:
Social Distancing and Other Rules
All CAI users are asked to:
- Wear face coverings (cloth face coverings, disposable masks, etc.), and it must be worn by all users, at ALL times in every section of the CAI, including at the Study Rooms.
- NO food, including snacks, allowed!
- Maintain the appropriate six feet social distancing recommended by health care officials.
- DO NOT move the furniture (chairs, tables, etc.), they’re arranged and spaced in compliance to the social distancing rules.
Checking Out Resources
Students are allowed to check out books from the Circulation, Boards & Reference Collections for 14 days. Books will keep a 7 day quarantine before reintroducing to the collection. Users are asked to request books at the counter, and not to search for them themselves.
Books from the Reserve Collection (books on syllabuses) will not leave the library, nor the counter area. Users may request chapters from these books to be scanned, and the library staff will send them via email.
